VISION

B. A. S. I. C. S. FELLOWSHIP

Brothers And Sister In Christ’s Service Fellowship

  • VISION

BASICS Fellowship will be driven by a God inspired passion to be an authentic local expression of the Body of Christ growing and functioning in maturity in Christ, and effective ministry to the world because of that maturity.

BASICS Fellowship purpose and goal will be to present every individual believer complete in Christ, conformed to His image, mature and functioning in their purpose in Him. To the end that we mature corporately to function in worship to the Lord, ministry to one another and to the world, in such a way that we reveal Christ Jesus in the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Eph. 1:23)

    • BASICS Fellowship will passionately embrace that we have a mandate and calling as a local expression of the Church to be the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Because Christ Jesus is at the right hand of the Father and has sent the Helper, the Holy Spirit, to us, we are to function in the power of the Spirit as He did on earth and desires His Body to today.

    • BASICS Fellowship will seek, encourage, nurture, support, recognize and release the five-fold ministry gifts given to the Church for the purpose of “equipping the saints for the work of ministry”. (Eph. 4:11-12) It will be our goal to see operational the ministries of the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher working in relationship with local leadership (elders). These ministries will be embraced to train, equip, and help to mature believers for the work of ministry to one another and to the world, and facilitate our growth as a body into the Head, Christ Jesus.

    • BASICS Fellowship will embrace, develop, and enable corporate worship led by the Holy Spirit.  A kind of worship driven by the believers stewardship of individual gifts, and the purposes of God, for the times we come together to meet with Him and minister to one another. Worship will not be approached as a spectator event or for entertainment value. It will be intentionally open and  participatory with a purpose of entering into His presence and glory to express our thanksgiving to and praise of Him, our love and adoration for Him, and to hear Him speak back to us by His Spirit and through vibrant and dynamic Body ministry. At BASICS Fellowship we will diligently build a foundational attitude that we do not go to church. We are the church! We go to fellowship prepared to worship the Most High with energy and passion, and to be stewards of His gracious gifts in ministry before Him and to each other, because we are the Church.

    • BASICS Fellowship will passionately be committed to being salt and light in a decaying and dark culture. Because we see our mandate to be the fullness of Him who fills all in all, we cannot do less. Evangelism will be a priority. The measure of the life of the Spirit in our fellowship will not be based upon worship or teaching dynamics.  It will be measured by  how, and if, we are reproducing life in Christ through reaching the fallen world, hurting and needy, and making disciples. The Kingdom principle witnessed in creation is that which is alive reproduces! Because we accept His commission to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them… and teaching them to observe all that I commanded you” (Mt. 28:18-19) we will hold up the banner of His Kingdom and a standard for righteousness wherever He calls us. We will determine to stand for Him and therefore against the greatest threats to Christian faith in our time including neo-paganism (hedonism, humanism, moral relativism), militant Islam, and communism.

    • BASICS Fellowship understands that God views His people as one people. He has historically, and does currently. We are not so arrogant as to believe that we are the only local expression of the Church involved in this restoration move of God. (Acts 3:19-21) We are simply one expression of His body. We will be diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph.4:3) and work with those who build differently to impact our city, region and the world as the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Eph.1:23)
